OC Walk to Remeber

What is it?
The OC Walk to Remember is a nonprofit organization that supports parents who have lost a baby in pregnancy or infancy. The mission of the OC Walk to Remember is to raise money for local organizations that support parents who have experienced miscarriage, pregnancy loss, or infant loss of any kind, as well as be a resource center for parents, doctors, nurses, hospitals, support groups, and anyone in need of support or information.

REGISTER AT http://www.ocwalktoremember.org

When: October 10, 2009
Where: University of California, Irvine campus
Time: Check in begins at 8:00 a.m.,
Remembrance ceremony at 9:15 a.m.
Allow plenty of time to park and check-in.
5K Walk begins immediately following the ceremony. (A 2.5K route is also available.)
Join us before and after the walk to write a message to your baby or babies on the memorial wall, buy OC Walk to Remember merchandise, and shop from vendors selling items that memorialize your child or children. After the walk, you are invited to bring a picnic lunch and eat and reflect in Aldrich Park (the park is along the walk route on the university grounds).

I am going to participate and I hope you will too. I think this is a great cause. I know several women who have gone through this great loss. What a great way to support them and their families.

That is awesome! I'll have to see about doing it...it's a bad weekend. My brother is in town and it's my class reunion that night. I really wish it was another weekend. How long is the walk? BTW I'm starting to get out walking again...
