I have struggled with this for years and I Im hoping someone out there can help me with this. I cant find a good fitting jean. Before kids I had bought Lucky Jeans and they fit well. But Im not willing to spend that money on a pair of jeans anymore. My problem is I have been blessed (I used the word loosely) with some voluptuous hips. So my jeans usually fit well in the thighs/butt and are loose in the waist. Which lends myself to having a plumbers crack by then end of the day. Any suggestions?

I think the popularity of the "low rise" jean makes it especially hard to find a good fitting pair of jeans. Last week I struck gold at Old Navy. They have 4 different fitting jeans along the wall. I tried them all on and found a pair that had everything I was looking for. They are really comfortable and were less than $30.
Yeah I HATE jean shopping too. I dont have big hips, but bigger thighs...so I cant even get em over the thighs. I just saw on Oprah they were talking about some new MAJIC jeans for REAL women, ie us! Not size 0, 6 foot tall super models. I dont know how much they are though, but I think they said they are at Pennys. Keep me posted if you find out more and vic versa on my part.
I am not one to give advice about plumbers crack. :)
Ugh... the never ending battle of finding the perfect jean. In addition to the problem you have, I also have the problem of short legs. So jeans are always WAY too long on me. This is why I don't wear jeans very often. :(
Let me know when you figure it out! I have the problem of having them too loose in my legs if I get them to fit to my hips. If I get them fitted in the legs then they're tight in the hips...I struggle in the misses department because of this problem...but then juniors don't accomodate the hips. Ugh...
I've had a hard time too because of all the low cut, skinny styles. I bought a pretty great pair of Levi's at Kohls in the womens dept. The juniors dept all had skinny jeans that were low cut. But the womens dept had my favorite boot cut style, and the waist is nice and high (not mom-jean high, lol). And they're stretchy. They fit really comfortably and were like $30 or so. i'll email you a link.
My Aeropostale jeans fit me like a glove, and i love them! They were around $30...and I think Costco sells Lucky jeans and they're not as expensive as they used to be...
