Spencer and I usually go away by ourselves once a year. This year is just gonna be a short little weekend thing. The question is where are we gonna go? Id love to do San Francisco again but, I kinda want to go somewhere we havent been. My thoughts so far are: Catalina, believe it or not I have never been. Or we have thought about going to Hearst Castle. Anyone have a little getaway that they would recommend?

Solvang! Which is really close to Hurst Castle and super cute and fun! Catalina gets old after about a day, especially if you don't snorkle or pay a lot. It's a lot of food and shopping really.
We recently stayed in Dana Point at The Blue Lantern Inn. It's a bed & breakfast, we really loved it.

We're going to the Blue Lantern Inn next month. There's lots to do there- and it's so cute and cozy. Hotel del Corondao is fun, too. Also, we LOVE the Apple Farm in San Luis Obispo. It is so great. Not too bad of a drive- closer than SF and a darling bed and breakfast- but lots to do in the town. Have fun wherever you go!
well catalina is totally overrated. we stopped by there on our cruise and was bored after an hour. what you should do is check out what deals are going on right now and maybe you'll find something cool. sign up for travelzoo's alerts. there are some really good deals on that site. it's not a booking site but one that provides links to other sites that are having good deals.
We stayed on the Queen Mary one year which was really neat! And we got room service too, I highly recommend that ;) That place we went last year was awesome and really relaxing, we got our couple's massage and I know they have pregnancy ones...We also stayed a bed and breakfast in Big Bear one year which was really nice and very peaceful and relaxing. :)
We've done Catalina a couple times and if you're game for not doing a lot and loungeing around then I think it would be nice.
We stayed in Carmel in a cute hotel...can't think of the name...one night and it was sooo nice. It's wasn't beach front, but we had a nice view. There was a nice bathtub!
