Alone with two

Well, I shared this story with my dear friend Danielle and she said I should share it with all of you! I have been really blessed to have had Spencer home for a little over a week helping me, then my mom was kind enough to be here this week. So, on Friday morning Grant had his first doctors appointment (side note...he's a little porker! He was born 7.8lbs then 4 days later dropped to 7.0lbs now he is 8.8lbs. I guess he has a healthy appetite like his big brother) Well, we dropped my mom home after the doctors. Then to return home for everyone to have an afternoon nap, like we have this whole week. Gavin fell asleep on the way home. And I thought an easy transition from the car to the bed. Not quite. He talked, sang and yelled in his bed for 2hrs. Then he started to scream and cry. I finally go in there to find a naked boy in bed. He had taken off his pants and diaper and peed in his bed. Needless to say I'm nervous about this week alone.

Hi Amber,
I was on Spencer's email list so he sent me some of the newborn pictures.
Grant is Adorable!!!!
Congrats on the Vbac. That is a great accomplishment.

Welcome to the world of having two kids. I feel the same way. Charles doesn't always like to take naps, and some times he sits in his room for like 2 hours empting every drawer and toy basket until he finally falls alseep. It is insane. On occasion we get no naps. I hate those days. Maybe a pull-up on Gavin at nap time would help. Good Luck!!!

good luck. I hear that 2 is way harder than 1, but that 3 is easier than 2. I for one have 0, which is the easiest. :)

Ha, ha! Having a second one is hard at first, but so rewarding! I have wonderful memories of being a mommy of two little boys :) You are so blessed.
I just spent the last 6 months reading a great series and was looking for something new to read... you mentioned you enjoyed reading the Twilight series. Who owns the books? Hopefully I can get my hands on them! Do you know what the book club is reading right now?

That was SO hilarious! LOl Thanks for the laugh. I'm sure it wasn't hilarious while you were in the midst of it all. But, it's always fuin to share those experiences, because anyone with kids (especially toddlers) can totally relate. How was the rest of the week? Hope it all went well.
