Yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL day at Corona Del Mar Beach. We couldn't have picked a better day if we tried. Most school have started already which meant no crowds. We got there around 10:30 and there was NO marine layer just clear blue skies. I was even able to see some dolphins in the distance! I headed out to feel the water and I was so surprised that it wasn't even chilly. I walked right on out with Grant, trying to warm him up to the water. He is such a funny little guy. He would not let me put him down the first 40min. we were there. He just clung on to me for dear life. I dont know if it was the loud noise of the waves crashing or what. But after that 40min. was up. He was a new man. He ran right out into the water with no fear. He would get knocked down a few times (Don't worry I was standing right there) and when I picked him up he had a smile from ear to ear. Gavin and I had fun splashing around in the water too. He liked it when I would hold him out in the deeper part of the water and have the waves pick us up. I think the boys favorite part was playing the the sand. Spencer would dig two big holes and then a tunnel to connect them. They just dug, and played, and dug and played in the sand!
(Grant cozy in the hole, and surprisingly I only caught him eating sand once!)
(Spencer busy at work)
(Sand Angel)
Gavin also loved being buried. He did it a few times yesterday. After the first time he came up with a great idea. He would put the bucket on his head. So, while Im covering him up with sand he doesn't get any on his face.
(Yep, Gavin is under there)
(Still got a little sand on the face)
(He said it was nice in cool under his sand blankie)
I hope we can squeeze in another trip to the beach

I was at cornona del mar too!!! We must have been in a different area though because it was HOT and crowded where we were! Cute pics!!! :)
Oh too bad we didnt see ya. We were down on the far left I know it gets crowded on the right side by the jetty.
Oh I am sad I missed it...next time for sure...ella has been a pill all week too but we DID make it to her D-land race, which was hilarious. I will have to tell you about it.
