Busy February and THE VERDICT!

We had a FUN time celebrating Valentines Day. We really celebrated Valentines Day on Saturday since it fell on a Sunday. We decided to take the boys to the Newport temple since they have already been to Redlands and L.A.(next stop San Diego). When we pulled up Gavin asked if we were going to see a princess. Last time we were at LA temple Gavin saw a bride and he ran up and hugged her. He thought she was so pretty. LOL. And he tells us frequently that he is going to marry a princess in the temple. We didnt see a princess but they did love the water. Probably not the most reverent thing to do on the temple grounds. But they enjoyed being there and I think at their age that's an important thing!

Afterwords we had a yummy lunch at Red Robin. Then home in time for family nap time. LOL.
That evening Spencer and I went out to Benihana's. Oh, I love that place yummy food and we had the BEST cook ever. He was telling us jokes the whole time. Hilarious! Then we went to see the movie Valentines Day. Which was fun. We decided that we weren't going to do Valentines gifts this year since we are gonna have a romantic getaway. But Spencer broke the rules and gave me some cute gifts.

Sunday morning we had a festive breakfast and business as usual with church and stuff. We came home from church and had a yummy dinner with Grandma (aka Ginger). And had Carne Asada (red meat), Spanish Rice (red), and our usual Valentines dessert which is raspberry cream cupcakes. All and all the perfect Valentines weekend!

strawberry and cream filled crepes...heavenly!!!

Then we celebrated Grants b-day which fell on Presidents day at the LA Zoo. Not such a great idea on Presidents Day. I took us 20min. to get out tickets. (I must say we have gotten spoiled with Spencer having every other Friday off. We forget what its like going to places on a Saturday or a holiday and have it be so crowded) Good thing was it wasnt very crowded once we were inside.
This is how Grant looked most of the time he would just sit and stare and then go "OH, OH, OH" while pointing at the animals. Im pretty sure he enjoyed himself.

(Gavin was telling us how tall the giraffe is)

Then later that evening headed to my parents to celebrate my dads birthday as well.

This year I decided to combine Gavin and Grants Birthday Parties. I must say it was a GREAT idea. We had it a Realis Gymnastics. If you have never been its a must. I dont know a kid who doesn't love that place. It is heaven for my boys jumping and running....I mean what else is there? Not to mention all I had to do was show up with food. Nice and easy. i think we might be there again next year.

and ending in the foam pit

So glad that Nana and Papa stopped by on the way home from the temple! THANKS!

(I saw this idea on line and I thought it was so cute, Rainbow cupcakes)

I have always wanted to go to the El Capitan Theatre and have never made it there, until now. We took Gavin there a few weeks ago and it was so neat! They had this talented man play the organ like I have never seen before. His feet where all over the place while playing a medley of Disney songs. The theater is so beautiful inside. And sad to say I didnt get any good picts. So go and see if for your self! Then afterwords we went next door to the Disney Soda Fountain Shop. We had some Yummy treats! It was a really great time. Its nice to get out and enjoy the city!

Saturday we went and had an early ultra sound done to find out the sex of our baby. Yep, I am that impatient. If I had known about this place with my other two I would have done the same. LOL. So, we are looking forward to baby boy #3. And just for my own journaling reasons. I want to jot down the names we are contemplating. Jaxson would be on his birth cert. but he would go by Jax. The other one we like right now is Hudson. And we kind of like Caleb, and Ty. If you have any good boy names you would like to share feel free.

Sounds like you had a busy month! I like the name Jaxson, my friend/roommate named her son Jaxson, spelled the same way.
