Ever since Spencer and I have been married we have a standing tradition for Memorial Day. We go to Spencer's moms house for a bbq, swim in the pool, and playing around in the backyard (a.k.a. some hard core bocce ball games). Since we have had some strange weather we had to change things up a little.
Our morning started off on a good foot, with some yummy blueberry muffins, scrambled eggs, home fries and chocolate milk. Afterward we all ended up laying around reading books. Even Gavin, who is daddy's little shadow these days. Around noon we went over to Ginger's (Spencer's mom) to hang with Spencer's sisters and their families. We ate yummy Jaun Pollo. Then we got into some serious wii playing. Both of Katie and Marybeth (Spencer's sisters) own wii's. I have heard they are really fun but I have never played. We had four remotes there, which meant we all were playing. Bottom line, Spencer and I are trying to figure out how we are going to get one. It was a blast!!! Even my Ginger wants to get one now. We are all hooked.
We left from there to my parents house, who just got home from Sarah's soccer tournament in San Diego. From what I heard had a really exciting semi-final game, in which they lost in shoot outs. Sarah still came home with a 3rd place medal, which was pretty nice.
We joined my parents to have some Papa Johns pizza and a fun, really fun card game called four blind (I believe that's the name).
We were all pooped when we got home last night, but Im glad we were able to spend time with all the fam!

Sounds like a lot of R&R and a lot of fun. Your little "D" is so totally cute!
Wii is so FUN huh? We dont have one either, but it would be fun to own. You guys have GREAT family traditions that will make great memories for you kids growing up. It sounds like you guys had a good holiday.
I love 3 day weekends! Looks like you guys had a fun one, plus I loved your gag and brag! We have a Wii and I would definitely recommend it, after looking at every Best Buy in the city we found one at Blockbuster!
