(My Dad the proud grandpa, my mom and Grant)
First of all to my Father. When I think of my dad the first thing that comes to mind is hard work. He had taught us all from the time we were little is a value of hard work. There were many Saturday mornings spent in our backyard pulling weeds and if we weren't doing that we were cleaning a bathroom. It didn't occur to me until recently that my dad doesn't have a day of rest, he is constantly working. If he isn't at work or commuting he is working around the house, cleaning the cars, going to his children's soccer/sport games, or going to the temple. I'm mostly grateful that my dad was and still is a wonderful patriarch of our family. He would always give us father's blessings before school starts and anytime we needed or wanted one. I remember when I was on my way to the hospital to have Gavin. My dad made sure I stopped by so that he and Spencer could give me a blessing. I am so grateful I did that, and I will continue to do so with all my children. Dad I love your sense of humor a little corny at times, but I love it! Thank you for all that you have sacrificed for me. I know I was not a easy kid to raise, but I think you did a pretty good job. Love-Ams
Now, on to the husband of my children- When you get married you never really know what kind of father your husband is going to be. You can see them play with kids or see how they are with their siblings and that might give you a clue. But, I can certainly say I lucked out!!! Spencer is often on the floor playing with our boys. He recently taught Gavin how to steam roll. You lay on the floor and if someone is laying next to you, you roll right over the top of them. He is always willing to watch the boys. I am usually gone once or twice a week during the evenings. Spencer never complains about having to watch the boys after a long days work. He is a great example to Gavin and Grant as to what a great priesthood holder is. I am thankful he is such a wonderful provider for our family. I am grateful everyday to have him as my eternal companion. Happy Fathers Day Spence!

Steam roller.. gotta love that. Many a good times catching each other off guard with a good old steam roller. LOL. I don't think I've done one in forever since we don't usually lay on our hardwood floor. Note to self- steam roll someone..
Your dad is pretty awesome! I remember he used to pay me to not bring up the times when he teased me mom so bad!
Sounds like you have a great dad and wonderful husband! Hope they both had a great fathers day.
