Updates

I have two updates to write about.
#1. We have put an offer on a house. Its a bitter sweet thing for me. When I first walked into this house I fell in love! Its almost 2000 sqft. and it is on a nice size lot( how ever many feet .3 acres is) that is the sweet part. And I can go on and on about this house. But, Im trying not going to get my hopes up. The bitter part is that we have offered less then they are asking, so Im not real hopefully we are going to get it. The other bitter part is that it is in Indian Hills which is in Riverside. So, we would be moving out of our ward.
We have been praying a ton while searching for a house. Now our faith is in the Lord to direct us where to go. And if this house doesn't workout, then I think the Lord wants us else where. I will write more when we have found out about our offer.

#2. My sweet little Grant turned 5 months old on the 15th of this month. He has been rolling around for a month or so now. I have been surprised at how far he can travel just by rolling. Well, this past week he decided that, that wasn't good enough. I went to get him out of his crib this week and he was on all fours. I thought it was some kind of fluke. Not so. He has been constantly getting on to his hands and knees. Most of the time he has been just rocking. He has attempted a few lunges forward which have turned into face plants. Needless to say Im not ready for a crawler.

So you did put the offer in...good luck.

I told Ned I am worried about leaving the ward too if we were to move, it has been my ward basically my WHOLE LIFE...but you will just keep your old friends (you better...we can do lazer tag anytime) and then just make new ones. So good luck. Keep me posted.

That's exciting! Let me know when I can move in, k?! j/k And I'm not surprised about little Grant. I'm sure he'll be running right behind Gav by the end of the week. Haha.

p.s. Kiera loves Grant as much as Gav. Whenever we go on your blog and sees his cute dimple picture on the right - she goes Look! It's baby Grant, he's smiling at me!

wow! Congrats!!! Hopefully you will get it, and it will not be like our luck with houses. We have literally put in like 25 offers or so. Two came back, but we didn't really feel good about them, so we passed. We have like five in now that we are waiting on. Two are in the ward, so we will see! I will miss you if you move out!!! :( But, who knows, we might too.

btw...Grant is soooo cute! :)

That would be exciting! Good luck! Here is the recipe for the muffins they are pretty tasty!
You need
3 cups flour
3/4 cups sugar + 1/8 cup sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 Tbsp + 1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup butter softened
1 tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
FOR TOPPING:
1/4 cup butter softened
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
*Preheat oven to 350. Line muffin pans with muffin cups. In large bowl cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time until just mixed in. In medium bowl sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon. In small bowl, vanilla, milk and heavy cream. With a spoon, mix a quarter of dry mix into butter mix, the mix a third of milk mix. Continue mixing in the remaining dry and wet ingredients alternately ending with the dry. Mix until well combined and smooth but don't overmix. Scoop enough batter into each tin so that the top of the batter is even with the rim of the cup. Bake muffins until firm to the touch, about 25-30 minutes. To finish melt butter for the dipping mixture in a small bowl. Combine sugar and cinnamon in another bowl. When muffins are cool enough to handle remove them from the tin dip or brush them all over with the melted butter and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar. These are pretty easy to make and so yummy! Try them and let me know how you like them

I'm so glad you tried them, but yes you are supposed to take the muffins out of the wrapper and roll the whole thing in the sugar mixture. For Joe's I usually leave it plain or just do the top, but for mine and Steve's I lather it up!
