I have been a big slacker with my blogging. I'm SORRY! But better late than never right?
Two very important people's birthdays were this month.
My mom's is the 6th. My brother was still off from school so he came over to watch the boys. And I went and surprised my mom by taking her to Disneyland. In 2009 you get in free to Disneyland on your birthday. I was a little nervous about how it would all workout. The sure do have things together there. We just walked up to the ticket booth showed them her licence and we were in. The crowds were great. I love going on all the "big kid" rides. I don't get that chance when taking the little ones. And we topped it off with some delicious clam chowder in a bread bowl.
Im so lucky to have a great mom. She is such a great example of a gospel centered person. I don't know anyone as honest and trustworthy as she is. She is such an AMAZING cook. And I blame her for my outrageous love for food. Hope you had a good one. Wait of course you did. My dad asked her what she wanted for her b-day cake. And she said a cupcake from Sprinkles. If you ever have a chance to go to Sprinkles. GO! We went in AZ and they are worth every penny.
Funny thought, I don't really like cake but a big fan of cup cakes (not store bought ones). Weird?
And to my BFF/my sis (and a lot of other nick names I have for you)- Jess. Whose birthday was on the 11th. I hate it that you are so far away! Hopefully you will be back soon. I miss you. You are such a hottie and I hate you for that. You have such an eye for decorating. Your kids bedrooms look like they are out of a magazine. I love that creative side of you. More than anything I love that I can talk to you about anything. I hope you had a great day. Wish I was there.
And Grandma Renee whose birthday was on the 11th. I have been thinking of you on and off for the past month. Its hard not to when Gavin was born only hours after you had passed. (I don't know why I haven't written this down yet. But I need to. Maybe it was the lesson on Sunday about family history work, who knows).
I want anyone who reads this to know. How much I love you. You were the grandma that everyone wishes they had. I remember you and Grandpa would come out and babysit us when we were young. And we would all be so excited because we know you were taking us out to eat. And that meant Sizzler.
After I got my first car. You gave me a key to your house so I could come over anytime I wanted. And I did. You would even let me bring any and all of my friends over to spend the night and go to Magic Mountain.
To this day everyone still complains that no one can make rolls like you.
Your love for anything lemon makes me laugh. I knew I could always count on you to buy some lemon girl scout cookies from me.
And to you I was always Ambie.
I miss you!
