Last week I had a rough week with the kids. I think it might have been because I was gone a few day the week before. And they were in serious need of mommy attention. Yesterday it occurred to me yesterday I love the age/stages my boys are in now. They each have a unique personalities and Im lovin life.
Im lucky to have a doctor on call 24/7 in my house. Gavin loves putting on my funky socks on his hands for doctors gloves. He has a pair of socks ("gloves") in his pocket everyday! He frequently has me lay down on the bed to get a shot. You know, "so I can get big and strong". He is such a compassionate doctor. He always rubs my arm after the shot to make sure I feel ok. Then he asks if I need a band aid or a sticker. I asked him if he is going to be a doctor when he grows up and said he is going to be a cowboy not a doctor. Hence the picture! I love it!
Grant has found a fun little place to play with his cars. Lately he has been banging on the blinds until I open them. I must say there is no doubt this one is a boy. He eats and plays in so much dirt its crazy. I just try to ignore it or I will go nuts!
The best part is they are starting to play with each other. Yesterday they were playing on the slip n slide. Grant sat at the end of the slide in the pool area. And when Gavin came and slid next to him he was giggling so hard he thought it was so funny. Gavin kept doing it over and over again. Even when I thought it was getting a little rough Grant was still laughing his head off.
Im so happy I was able to have two boys in a row. I can tell the are definitely going to be BFF's.

Lets hope he REALLY does become a doctor, then I will really make sure Ella marries him...ha ha ha..
And we are up for a playdate soon. I will be out in Ontario on Tuesday, but busy with things from about 11-1, we could come by before or after? OR I may be off Friday and if I am I will probably have the whole day...I will call ya.
What cute pictures! So, you wait 'til I leave to get some good weather, huh?! Ugh. Yeah, it never fails. Every year it goes from high 70's to high 90's! We came home to triple digits. Oh joy. And, BTW you missed out on the macaroons! I brought some home but they were gobbled up before you came over!
I am so enjoying this age with Lauren too... so perfect, still innocent, just plain adorable. And look at those cheeks on Grant, what a cute kid! I love how his new play place for the cars is perfect eye level for him, smart boy!
What a crack up those two are. And man that Gavin looks like Spencer! Not sure if you have Spencer's baby pics at your house, but there's some in the hall at my moms. Check them out next time.
PS - let us know when you want us over! It will have to probably be a Saturday or Sunday.
Gavin cracks me up! Aubrey was telling me how they were playing like they were doctors and nurses at preschool yesterday. Glad this week has been better for you!
Isn't it great how they play together now? Hannah and Elisabeth have started to play really good together and I LOVE it!
And it only gets better...... and worse, and thenter again! Love seeing pictures of the kids. Miss you!
So now is it time for a girl...j/k the boys are soooo cute! We will definately have to see you guys.
