This post is a little over due. I was able to go to Utah a few weeks ago to see my brother Nate graduate from BYU. Nate and I drove all the way up to Provo Thursday night. While my parents and Sarah crashed at my Aunt Cris's house. It was fun to drive up with my brother since I dont get to see him much these days. Once we made it there I crashed at my sister Rach's dorm. It was fun to see how she's living up at college. I had to laugh 6 girls and 1 bathroom....no thanks!
Friday morning Nate graduated. All I can say is thank goodness for my ipod, it saved all of us during the ceremony from ripping our hair out. The professor who spoke was good but the valedictorian is definitely not a public speaker!

Afterwards we had a delicious lunch at Macaroni Grill. And the rest of the day was spent shopping and getting Rach packed to come home.

Saturday we woke up, got Rachie and all of her stuff loaded up in the car (I should have taken a picture of that LOL). Then we headed off for some fantastic breakfast at Kneaders . If you are ever in Provo stop there. They have the most amazing vanilla, cinnamon syrup to go with their yummy french toast. After that we hiked up to the Y (that's on Y Mountain). That was a nice little workout. The hike was only 1.2 miles but in that 1.2 miles you gained 1000 feet of elevation. Once we reached the top it started to drizzle. Luckily we made it back to the car before it really started to rain. Sadly we had to say our goodbyes to Nate who is staying their to finish up his last 2 classes.

I was fortunate enough to talk my parents in to stopping my a friend Karen's house. I was so happy to see her, her family and their new house. And I must say I am so jealous of her house. She has this huge basement that has a living area, huge food storage room/closet, bathroom and two rooms. I guess its the perks of living in Utah. Her kids are so cute and growing like weeds. Karen Im sad you are so far away, but I hope we can always K.I.T. (LOL, Keep In Touch for those of you who aren't familiar with the cool 90's lingo).

We then continued on our way. We stopped by the and visited my grandmothers grave in Beaver. I wasn't able to go to her funeral (I just had Gavin two days before). But I have been able to visit her grave site a few times since and I love the peaceful feeling I get when I go there.
I was so happy we were able to visit with my Aunt Cris and her family. Im really upset that I didn't take any picts. My cousin Jenny had a beautiful baby girl around Christmas, Adelaide Noel, love that name. She is really the most angelic baby I have every seen. Her skin is this gorgeous pale pink color. Such a cutie. I was also excited to see my cousin Chelsea and her hubby who dropped by. Chelsea is prego with baby #1. And it was so fun to chat with her and see her all a glow. I love being able to visit my Aunt Cris and her family. Its sad we live so far away and don't get to see each other that often.
We made it back home safely home Sunday afternoon. And it was a nice but busy get away. I didn't even have time to get home sick for my boys.
Thanks again Spencer for watching the boys, not an easy task. You are the BEST!

Aw! What CUTE pics! Good thing you have a blog...it's the only way I ever get to see anything. ;)
Nate looks like a monster in the pic of you guys at the top of Y mountain. Everyone else looks tiny. Looks like fun, wish I could have been there!
What a fantastic trip. You are so lucky to be able to do that. I love the picture of you and Karen. Miss Karen too! Glad you had a good time. It was great to see you last week. We really do need to get together over the summer.
